[Self-Realized Growth 2025 report].

Since 2016, I have been writing a personal growth report every year. This year marks the 9th year of documenting my life and growth. Now, I begin my 2025 Growth Report.

What Did 2025 Mean to Me?

2025 was the year I began to fully stand on my own.

It was also the year of new challenges and another step of growth.

This is because 2025 was the first year I worked 100% as a freelancer, without belonging to any organization.
More importantly, it was a time when I stopped seeking recognition from others and started recognizing myself.

In the past, I worked as a full-time employee in a company. Later, I worked in a training and education company as a semi-freelancer. I also worked as an adjunct professor at a graduate school, again in a semi-freelance role.

However, 2025 was different. Although I collaborated with various agencies and partners, this was the first year I worked completely independently, without belonging anywhere.

The journey was honestly scary, difficult, and exhausting. But by taking one step at a time, I was able to finish the year feeling truly proud.

1. Book Writing – 99% Complete (Publication Confirmed)

My goal for 2024 was to publish a book. So throughout 2025, I dedicated myself to writing. Writing a book while teaching, coaching, and raising a child was far more challenging than I expected. Still, I did not give up, and the book is now officially scheduled to be published in late January 2026 through a publishing company. This book started with a common concern I heard many times: “Companies tell leaders to do one-on-one meetings, but leaders often don’t know what to say or how to say it.” So I wrote a book that explains, based on real workplace situations, how leaders can have effective conversations and what points truly matter. I look forward to introducing the book in more detail soon.

2. Coaching APAC Executives and Team Leaders

For several years, I have been coaching corporate executives and leaders across the APAC region, including Korea, Australia, Singapore, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. This year, the work felt especially meaningful. That was because of the heartfelt reviews from my clients. During coaching sessions, we laughed together and cried together. Through these moments, I deeply realized what an honor it is to support someone’s life and leadership journey. I have often thought about becoming a warmer person. When many clients described me as “warm” in their feedback, I found myself moved to tears. It felt like, just as I truly saw them, they truly saw me as well.

3. Role as an APAC Coaching Supervisor

I currently work as a Coaching Supervisor at CTI (Co-Active Training Institute). In 2025, I provided supervision to coaches from Korea, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and China. I supported them by reviewing their strengths, areas for growth, and blind spots in their coaching. This experience was not only about helping other coaches grow, but also about continuously reflecting on and improving my own coaching practice.

4. Teaching – Supporting Leaders’ Growth

In 2025, I delivered training sessions on various topics, including self-awareness and self-understanding for leaders, leadership communication, coaching skills such as questioning, listening, and action support, psychological safety, feedback skills, life purpose workshops, and team leadership. My main goal in all training sessions was simple: to help leaders practice, feel, and truly change. One major milestone this year was facilitating coaching skills programs in English for leaders from European and African companies.

5. Learning – Growing as a Team (Systemic) Coach

To grow as a team coach, I completed about six levels of professional training this year. I also worked with startup teams, providing real team coaching experiences that allowed me to integrate theory with practice. Learning is still challenging, but it remains the most powerful way for me to expand myself.

6. My Role as a Mother

Before anything else, I am a mother. Every day, I tell my child “I love you” more than five times. I hug, kiss, and encourage my child. I walk them to school in the morning, eat dinner together in the evening, and help with homework. Recently, I have also been encouraging my child to sleep independently, helping them build confidence. I am not a perfect mother, but I am doing my best with sincerity and love.

Closing 2025

2025 was the year I confirmed my potential and truly accepted myself. It was also a year when I consistently practiced living with joy and presence. Even in fear, I did not stop. I learned that I can stand firmly as myself.
